Wes Anderson

Wes ANDERSON (1969, USA) studied philosophy at the University of Texas. He has often worked on films with actor/writer Owen Wilson since the two became friends as students. Anderson's work is known as comedic and unique, and his actors often play quirky characters. The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) was nominated for an Oscar and marked his commercial breakthrough. With an increased budget, successes like The Darjeeling Limited (2007) and Moonrise Kingdom (2012) followed.
