Werner Schroeter

Werner Schroeter (1945, Germany) studied psychology and has written film reviews. Opera music and Magdalena Montezuma were two of the few constants in his first films. In 1978 he broke through to a large audience with Regno di Napoli. Schroeter also directed in the theatre. He died in April 2010.
