Varuzh Karim-Masihi

Varuzh Karim-Masihi (1952, Arak) started his career as assistant director. He directed his first short film, Cuckoo (1975), for the Centre for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults. His feature-film debut The Last Act (1991) received sixteen nominations and nine prizes, including those for best director and best film, at the International Fajr Festival in Tehran.
