Urszula ANTONIAK (1968, Poland) is a Polish/Dutch screenwriter and director. She graduated from the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School in Katowice and the Netherlands Film Academy in Amsterdam. Antoniak's debut film Nothing Personal won six awards at the 2009 Locarno FF, including Best First Feature and Best Actress, for Lotte Verbeek. Code Blue, her second film, was selected for the 2011 Cannes Directors' Fortnight. In 2014, she made the experimental film Nude Area. Her next film, Beyond Words premiered at the 2017 Toronto FF and was selected for competition of San Sebastian Film Festival. Her TV thriller Magic Mountains has been sold to various territories including North and Latin America. Antoniak's next feature, Splendid Isolation, part of the IFFR 2022 Big Screen Competition, was made in response to the pandemic.
