Terry Ramsaye

Terry RAMSAYE (1885 - 1954, US) was a film historian, journalist and author of A Million and One Nights: A History of the Motion Picture [Through 1925] (1926). Ramsaye started his career as an engineer but switched to journalism when he joined the staff of the Kansas City Star and Times in 1905. He then joined Mutual Film Corporation, a film distribution company, in 1915 where he produced some Charlie Chaplin comedies. He was also one of the founders of the Associated Motion Picture Advertisers. In 1921, he was commissioned to write a history of the motion picture, later published in his book.
