Ross McElwee

Ross McElwee (North Carolina) studied film with Richard Leacock and has been influenced by the documentary work of Frederick Wiseman, the Maysles brothers, D.A. Pennebaker and others. He began his career as studio cameraman for television and as freelance cameraman with D.A. Pennebaker and John Marshall. He has taught film making at Harvard.
