Renata LITVINOVA (1967, Russia) graduated in 1989 from the National Institute of Cinematography's Scriptwriting Department. As a screenwriter, film producer and actress, she has become a Russian art-house cult figure, and she has also acquired some international acting fame in the films of Kira Muratova and Peter Greenaway. She was named a Merited Artist of the Russian Federation in 2003. In 2004, she released her feature film debut Goddess, in which she also played the lead role. The film was nominated for a Tiger Award. The Last Tale of Rita (2012), her second feature film, debuted at Moscow International Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Golden George. That same year, she was awarded a Medal of Pushkin for her contributions to Russian film and culture. The North Wind (2021) was invited to have its world premiere at IFFR.
