Petra Noordkamp

Petra NOORDKAMP (1967, Netherlands) lives and works in Amsterdam. She studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and graduated in 2000 from the department of photography. Her work explores the coloured view and the influence of experiences, memories, films and dreams on the perception of architecture and the urban environment. Her first short film The Mother, the Son and the Architect (2012) was screened at an exhibition of her work in Foam Amsterdam en was selected for various film festivals en exhibitions. In 2015 she made the short film Il grande cretto di Gibellina, commissioned by the Guggenheim, about the artwork of Alberto Burri by the same name.
