Pascal Bonitzer

Pascal BONITZER (b. 1946, Paris) is a philosophy graduate who started his career in 1969 as a film critic with Cahiers du Cinéma. In addition, he started writing film scripts. In the course of his writing career, he has completed about fifty, for Jacques Rivette’s La belle noiseuse and André Téchiné’s Ma saison préférée, among others. From the late 1960s, he could also be seen in about thirty films as an actor. In 1996, Bonitzer directed his first feature, Encore.
