Olivier Debroise

Olivier Debroise (Jerusalem, 1952) grew up in Poland, Brazil and Morocco, has the French nationality and has lived since 1970 in Mexico. He studied Spanish, theatre and film, learned English and French, worked as translator and has written several books. From 1984 to 1989 he wrote scripts and worked on producing TV documentaries. In 1993 he founded in Mexico City an alternative centre for the arts called 'Curare'. He describes his début film Un banquete en Tetlapayac, that is accompanied by a book, as 'a cultural multimedia project'.
