Ogata Takaomi

OGATA Takaomi (1981, Japan) started making films after he left his company at 25. He poses questions through incisive films that highlight social issues from his own viewpoint and insights. His first feature film Never Ending Blue (2009) was the runner-up for the grand prize in Okinawa. His film Sunk in the Womb (2013), was based on an incident in Osaka where two children were murdered after being abused. Ogata's film The Hungry Lion (2017), about fake news and its consequences, premiered in Tokyo.
