Nouri Bouzid

Nouri Bouzid (1945, Sfax, Tunisia) studied directing at the Institut National Supérieur des Arts et Spectacles in Brussels. In 1966 and 1967 he did an apprenticeship with the Tunisian television. He was imprisoned from 1973 to 1979 for his political views. He has worked as assistant director on films by e.g. A. Ben Ammar, Steven Spielberg and P. Festa Campanile before making his debut in 1986 with the full-length feature L'homme de cendres.
