Nikos Papatakis

Nikos PAPATAKIS was born in Ethiopia in 1918, of Greek parents. The release in 1963 of his debut film Les abysses at the film festival of Cannes caused near riots because of references to sensitive areas in French social and political life, including the war in Algeria. Papatakis was formerly married to actress Anouk Aimée.
