Nikolaj Arcel
Danish filmmaker and screenwriter Nikolaj ARCEL (1972, Denmark) is best-known for his film A Royal Affair (2012) starring Mads Mikkelsen and receiving two awards at the Berlinale as well as a nomination for Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards. He graduated from the National Film School of Denmark in 2001. His latest feature, The Promised Land (2023), for which he again worked with Mikkelsen, was selected for IFFR 2024.
