Nikolai Dostal

Nikolai Dostal was born in 1946. He studied journalism from 1964 at the University of Moscow. In 1970 he started studying directing having worked for the Mosfilm Studios since 1964.His film Oblako-rai, which was in last year's programme, has received many prizes, among others the Silver Leopard in Locarno 1991 and a special Fipresci prize.
