Nadir Moknèche

Nadir MOKNECHE (1965, Paris) grew up in Algiers, studied law for two years at the University of Malakoff and then started to travel. Back in Paris, he attended theatre classes and discovered film. Between 1993 and 1995 he studied Film at the New School for Social Research in New York and made two shorts, of which Hanifa won first prize at the Festival de l'Université in 1996. Viva Laldjérie is his second feature.
