Mouly Surya

Mouly SURYA (1980, Indonesia) earned her BA in Media and Literature from Swinburne University after which she attended Bond University, for an MA in Film and Television. Her acclaimed debut film Fiksi (2008) won many awards, including Best Director at JIFFEST 2008. Her second feature What They Don't Talk About When They Talk About Love (2013) received the NETPAC Award at International Film Festival Rotterdam. Marlina the Murderer in Four Acts (2017) is Surya's first international co-production. Apart from her work as filmmaker, she has taught a directing class in Jakarta.
