Matthew Barton

Matthew BARTON (UK) was born in London and studied Design at Camberwell College of Arts. He is a London based filmmaker who's work deals with themes of humanity, adversity and marginal stereotypes. His first film, the mid-length documentary Sit and Watch (2016, co-directed with Francisco Forbes) was awarded Best Mid-length film at Visions du Réel 2016 and was selected for many international festivals. His photographic work has been published globally with clients including Vice and Dazed and Confused. As a filmmaker, he continues to collaborate with activists on systemic issues such as food waste, housing and the refugee crisis.
