Martin Scorsese
Martin SCORSESE (1942, New York, USA) is the son of Sicilian immigrants and was raised in New York's Little Italy. He attended the New York film school and during this period he made a number of award-winning shorts. Scorsese is known as one of America's most important filmmakers. He excels with his personal and often autobiographical films, his refined style, and surprises with his choice of subject.
