Marcel Ophüls

Marcel Ophuls (1927, Frankfurt), son of the famous film director Max Ophüls. The Ophüls family fled Nazi Germany in the thirties and emigrated to the United States. Marcel went to school in Hollywood and studied at the Universities of Berkeley and Paris (Sorbonne). He has made an international reputation for himself as a documentary-maker.
