María Novaro
María Novaro studied at the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematograficos in Mexico. She made two short films before directing Lola, her first feature, with the aid of the Hubert Bals Fund. That film won several awards at international festivals. Her second film, Danzón, was screened in the Quinzaine programme at Cannes.
