Filmmaker and producer Manmohan DESAI (1937, India) was arguably one of the most successful Indian filmmakers in the 1970s and 80s, and made more than 20 films, including Amar Akbar Anthony (1977) and Naseeb (1981). He is considered one of most influential Bollywood film directors and a pioneer of masala filmmaking. He died in 1994.
