Lyubov ARKUS (1960, Ukraine) is an actor and filmmaker. She studied screenwriting and film studies at the State Film School in Moscow (WGIK). Initially, she worked as an editor at Lenfilm. In 1989, she founded Seance magazine with support from Alexander Golutva, about cinema and culture. She worked as editor-in-chief of the magazine until 2020. Since 1993, she is also head of Seance Publishing House. Her debut documentary Anton's Right Here (2012) won many awards, such as the Silver Mouse at the Venice Film Festival. What Beat You Nothing/Kto tebya pobedil nikto (2021), international premiere at IFFR as part of the Cinema Regained programme, is Arkus' second creative documentary.
