Lucas Belvaux

Lucas BELVAUX (1961, Belgium) moved to Paris in 1979 to work as an actor in film, television and theatre. He had several roles in films directed by Claude Chabrol, Jacques Rivette and Olivier Assayas. Belvaux started directing his own films in the early 1990s. After the ambitious Grenoble feature film trilogy and the kidnap drama Rapt (2009), his seventh feature 38 Witnesses was the official opening film of IFFR 2012. His most recent film This is our land will premiere at IFFR 2017.
