Lorena Durán

Lorena DURÁN (Dominican Republic) is a Dominican-American director and cinematographer. Before moving from the Dominic Republic to the United States, she worked in various jobs within production departments, as well as shot and directed short documentaries. In 2019 she received the ARRI Volker Bahnemann Award for Outstanding Cinematography. She has been selected for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' inaugural Film Accelerator Program; LALIFF x Netflix Inclusion Fellowship; and Film Independent Project Involve Fellowship. She is a graduate of the NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Her films have been officially selected in internationally acclaimed film festivals, including IFFR 2023.
