Lin Cheng-sheng

Lin Cheng-sheng (1959, Taitung, Taiwan) ran away from home when he was sixteen and worked for a while as a baker in Taipei. He attended a directing and scriptwriting workshop and worked as actor, editor, cameraman, documentary-maker and - to make ends meet - as fruit-grower. In 1996 he made his feature début with Chuen hua mon lu/A Drifting Life.
