Lech Majewski

Lech MAJEWSKI (1953, Poland), poet, novelist, composer, set designer, director and producer, graduated in 1977 from Lodz Film School and has lived in America since 1981. In 1989 he directed Prisoner of Rio, a film about the great train robber Ronald Biggs, with whom he wrote the script. In 1996, he wrote the story for Julian Schnabel's film Basquiat. In 2006, the Museum of Modern Art honoured him with a retrospective of his work.
