Kim Dongryung

KIM Dongryung (1977, South Korea) majored in English Literature and Filmmaking at KAFA and University of Paris 8. In 2004 she started doing photography and made short films and documentaries on the daily lives of people in a US military camp town. Together with Park Kyoungtae, she directed Tour of Duty (2012), a documentary about Park Insun, a former US military 'comfort woman'. The Pregnant Tree and the Goblin (2019) is a fictionalised version of Park Insun's biography and was in competition at Seoul Independent Film Festival.
