Kathy Brew
Kathy BREW (USA) is an independent videomaker who has worked on a range of media projects, from experimental work to independent documentaries and public television productions. She became involved with filmmaking after college, when she found work making educational cartoons. In 1990, she directed her first short film Mixed Messages. In 1996, she met her husband and long-term collaborator, the late Roberto Guerra. From 2004 to 2007, she was co-director of the Margaret Mead Film and Video Festival. In 2012, she and Guerra directed the documentary Design is One: Lella & Massimo Vignelli and in 2014 she started the Roberto Guerra Documentary Fund in memory of her husband. From 2017 to 2019, she was Guest Curator for the MoMA Documentary Fortnight.
