Kamal Sabran

Kamal SABRAN is an artist, designer and researcher. His work consists of paintings, video art, short films, sound art and installations. In 2004 he won the Best New Media Artist Award from the Malaysian National Art Gallery and in 2007 he won the ASEAN New Media Artist Award from the Indonesian National Art Gallery. Sabran has also made award winning music videos. His short film Lumpur is part of 15Malaysia (2009), an omnibus film that consists of 15 short films by 15 Malaysian film makers.
