K. Asif

K. ASIF (1924-1972, India) was a film maker, producer and scriptwriter. The first version of Mughal-e-Azam (1960) was made despite a large number of difficulties (the sudden death of the protagonist, financiers pulling out). A second, restored version was completed more than 30 years after Asif's death. Love and God, his last film, was also left to others to complete.
