Julia KUPERBERG is a documentary filmmaker. Together with her sister, Clara Kuperberg, she founded Wichita Films – a French production company specialising in documentaries – in 2006. The sisters work in equal measure as producers, directors, writers, and editors on their films, with a passion for American film history and American culture. Before, she was on the editorial board of the famous French TV show, Tracks, after which she worked for the international company Fremantle. Kuperberg decided to work on more long-form projects and teamed up with Clara Kuperberg, who was already a documentary filmmaker. In 2018, the Kuperberg sisters won the Best Director Award at the Beverly Hills Film Festival for The Women Who Run Hollywood (2016). Hannibal Hopkins & Sir Anthony (2021), won the Best International Feature Documentary at The American Documentary and Animation Film Festival and Film Fund (AmDocs) in Palm Springs. Ida Lupino: Gentlemen & Miss Lupino (2021) premiered at the Lumiere Film Festival.
