José María Nunes

José María NUNES (1930, Portugal - 2010, Spain) moved to Barcelona as a teenager, where he would live until his death in 2010. Before making films himself, he worked for several Spanish directors. In 1957 he directed his first film, Mañana…, which would become the foundation for the Escuela de Barcelona. His film Noche de vino tinto (1966) was the first film released by Jacinto Grewe’s production company. His last film, Res publica, was released in 2009.
