John Sayles

John Sayles (1950, Schenectady, New York), director, scriptwriter, actor and author, is regarded as one of the most versatile independent American talents. After a successful start as novelist, in the late seventies he started writing scripts for Roger Corman, before making his directing début with The Return of the Secaucus Seven.
