Joâo Botelho

Jo+M+o Botelho (1949, Lameno) founded film clubs in Coimbra en Porto in 1969, enrolled in 1974 at the film school of the National Conservatoire in Lisbon, founded the film magazine M and worked in 1978 as assistant to director Jorge Alves da Silva. In 1985 he received international recognition with Um adeus Portugues. His next film, Tempos difíceis, was screened in Rotterdam in 1989. Botelho is at present working on Aqui na terra.
