Jerry Lewis

Jerry Lewis was born as Joseph Levitch in 1926 in Newark, New Jersey. As son of theatre people, he travelled widely in his youth. Around the age of 18, he was already a practiced comic and band parodist. In 1946 Lewis started cooperating with Dean Martin. Both were still not very well known, but on stage and screen they became a great success. They made sixteen films together until 1956.
