James Mercer

James MERCER is a New York-based artist who paints, draws and animates. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Digital Imaging and Digital Animation at Drew University. Mercer studied Printmaking at Rhode Island School of Design and earned a master of Fine Arts at Columbia University. His work has been screened and exhibited around the world, including most recently at London International Animation Festival 2022. His animation with Yifan Jiang, Vacation (2022), selected for IFFR 2023, was recently exhibited at Sweet Pass Sculpture Park in Dallas, Texas
