I-Cheng Ko

After film school Ko I-cheng (Ke Yizheng) threw himself into the young blossoming Taiwanese film business in the early eighties. Alongside Edward Yang and Hou Hsiao-hsien he is one of the pioneers of the Taiwanese New Wave: his In Our Time, directed with Edward Yang, is regarded as the first Taiwanese New Wave film. He has directed several features and is also well known as an actor.
