Hiwa K

Hiwa K (1975, Iraqi Kurdistan) graduated from high school in Iraq and continued his education by meeting and working together with various artists. He was specifically interested in European literature and philosophy. After moving to Germany at the age of 25, he studied flamenco music. His work is the result of a critique of the art education system, and many of his works are characterized by a strong participatory dimension.
