Helena Solberg

Helena Solberg, born in Brazil, is one of the most productive and respected film-makers in her land. Her first films, made in the seventies in the USA, look at the situation of women, especially of South-American immigrants. Later her work acquired a more general political character. In 1981 she started producing and directing a documentary series about the political and social situation in various countries of Latin America.
