Harry Dodge

In the early 1990s, artist and writer Harry DODGE (1966, USA) was one of the founders of the now-legendary San Francisco community-based performance space The Bearded Lady, which served as a touchstone for a pioneering literary and arts scene. He wrote, directed and performed several evening-length performances during that time, including Muddy Little River (1996). Dodge’s interdisciplinary practice is characterised by its explorations of relation, materiality and ecstatic contamination. From 2004 to 2008, he formed half of a video-making collaboration with artist Stanya Kahn. Dodge’s works have been exhibited at various venues nationally and internationally, including solo shows. He was the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2017.
