Gyz La Rivière
Still: New NeapolisGyz LA RIVIÈRE (1976, Netherlands) is an artist, writer, performer and filmmaker. He was a member of the well-known skateboarding crew, the Fret Click. In 2000, he graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy. His first documentary, 12 - A Film About the Fret Click (2009), screened at IFFR 2010. He received the Dolf Henkes Prize for important Rotterdam-based artists in 2012. In 2013, he released the documentary Rotterdam 2040 and followed a few years later with New Neapolis (2020), based on his book New Neapolis – No Structure (2017). Malin TV was selected for IFFR 2023.
