Férid Boughedir

Férid Boughédir (1944, Tunis) is one of the most important critics of Arab and African cinema and he has published several books and made several documentaries on the subject. He worked as assistant to Alain Robbe-Grillet and Fernando Arrabal, and is professor at the University of Tunis. Halfaouine, his successful feature début, was also made with assistance from the Hubert Bals Fund.
