Ellen Pearson

Ellen PEARSON (1992, UK) has made short films that openly play with the term ‘pornographic’. She favours conventional filmmaking techniques, rich visuals and character development, while opting for untrained actors or performers from the sex industry. Her first two shorts, Lawless (2016) and Beauty in Blindness (2018), premiered on Channel 4 in the UK, and were screened at festivals and galleries internationally. Grief Encounter was selected for IFFR 2023. Pearson lives and works in London.
