Daan Emmen
Daan EMMEN works as a visual artist and teacher in the field of digital media. He studied interior design, sculpture and monumental arts. He graduated from the Willem de Koning Art Academy in Rotterdam in 1994 and started working in the field of applied arts shortly thereafter. In 2008, he and Nanouk Leopold started a collaboration under the name Beeldcollectief Leopold Emmen. Together they made Close-up, which was projected onto the Hofpoort building in Rotterdam during IFFR 2009. Besides installations, they have also collaborated on the stage design for Leopold’s two adapted plays for International Theatre Amsterdam.
