Cyril Collard

Cyril Collard studied maths and physics, after which he changed direction radically and left for Puerto Rico to write. He has been active as a photographer and actor and concentrated primarily on writing, music and film. He made a record, 'Maria Teresa' in 1985 with the group CYR. After the group split up, Collard continued to write lyrics. He also writes articles and screenplays. He was assistant director to René Allio on L'heure exquise (1980) and to Maurice Pialat on e.g. A nos amours (1983) and Police (1985).
