Cyrielle Raingou
Still: Le spectre de Boko HaramScreenwriter and filmmaker Cyrielle RAINGOU (Cameroon) has a Master’s degree in law and documentary filmmaking. She uses legends, metaphors and symbolism to tell stories about cultural identities in Africa, their promotion on an international scale and the economic interest it raises. Her short film The Lamb (2021) was nominated for Best Short Film at Docudays UA International Documentary Human Rights Film Festival. Her follow-up short film Mama dan que Soriso (2022), and her first feature-length documentary Le Spectre de Boko Haram (2022), were selected for IFFR 2023. Outside filmmaking she loves playing chess.
