Christopher Doyle

Christopher Doyle (1952, Sydney, Australia) broke of his study of literature to go to sea, work on a kibbutz in Israel and then found himself in Hong Kong, where he pretended to be a western doctor to help a crook to sell mountebank medicine. In the late seventies he studied Chinese at the University of Hong Kong. Then he moved to Taiwan, where he learned to handle a camera as founder of a theatre workshop and became one of the most sought-after cameramen in the world.
