Carmine Amoroso

Carmine AMOROSO (1963, Italy) moved to Rome in the 80s and acquired a degree in Literature. He has written several journalistic reports. As a writer he appears in several short story anthologies. He wrote the scenario for the film Parenti serpenti, directed by Mario Monicelli. He is also author of the similarly- named play, which was staged without interruption for eight years in Italy and Spain. In 1996 he wrote and directed As You Want Me, the first Italian film delving into the realities of the transgendered. Its successor, Cover boy... Last Revolution, was an international festival success.
