Still: The MissingCarl Joseph PAPA is a software engineer that has chosen filmmaking as his profession. He took his first steps in the industry with short films Ang Prinsesa, ang Prinsipe at si Marlborita (2012) and from there his passion for filmmaking quickly grew. His animation film projects have been screened at film festivals worldwide and have received multiple awards. Iti Mapukpukaw (2023), IFFR selection 2024, is his third feature film and the Philippines entry to the 96th Academy Awards for Best International Feature.
